La Union, what's special about you?

Whenever my father tell us to go to vacation.. I know he have one location in mind.. LA UNION.
Besides from the reason that this is his birthplace and my lola and relatives lives here, one ride away from Baguio and Ilocos, the beach is near our place .. what else is there in La Union?

First thing that comes in my mind is to unwind at the beach. The wind blowing in your face, the smell of the sea, chatting with your cousins while drinking a glass of Coke. so refreshing! a break away from stressful work! 
A good time to reflect about everything... family, work, relationship, career. A time to talk to your Creator while appreciating what He did for us. =)

I enjoyed staying here at San Luis Del Mar Resort, in San Fernando, La Union. Captured the moments from the beach to the resort. =)

 Here's how it looked like. You can see that the beach is just almost beside the infinity pool. 

Second thing to enjoy in La Union is its food delicacies. I love to eat and planning to go back to Halo-halo de Iloko, The dramatic and cozy atmosphere of its restaurant is what makes it special plus their menus. I wont forget my Buko halo-halo on this place. Awesome!

Look how sophisticated and ethnic they are. The art in the blood of Ilocanos runs in this place. Look how creative they are in this faucet! Whattalavatory!

Third, its the Filipino-Chinese friendship grotto situated in San Fernando, La Union. You can see the whole town of San Fernando when you visit this place. It is also called the "Lovers lane", there's a lot of couples that you can see here.. indeed "Love is in the air"

Lastly, of course its the Ancestral home with my family and relatives. The joy that it brings to me cant be compared to anything else. Its the heartfelt smile and laughter that makes my stay, special. A little get together, affects my life a lot. Its not all the time they are at your side.

So I realized one thing, blood is really thicker than water. If you still have time to tell them 'I love you', do it now. We never know what will happen tomorrow.
